Eddie Cox beat out Harry Melges IV to win the Melges 14 Midwinter Championship in the final moments of the final race. Results on Yachtscoring.
The Melges 14 World League has officially kicked off! The stage is set for a great Melges 14 World League with 8 total championship-level regattas around the world. With his win this weekend, Cox is officially the World League leader for now. Next up is the Melges 14 Euro Warm-Up (Liguria, Italy) and the Melges 14 Spring Championship (Chattanooga, Tennessee).
THE FINAL DAY
It was a ‘who-beats-who’ race as Harry Melges IV and Eddie Cox both had their eyes on the prize. The showdown lasted until the final moments with Cox successfully holding off H4 by inches to earn his crown.

Day two
Sarasota cannot disappoint. After an extremely light, cloudy morning, the weather turned around to bring sunshine, warmth, and medium breeze for another three races at the Melges 14 Midwinters. Harry Melges IV held onto his lead, now followed by Eddie Cox, Harry Melges III, Jeff Solum, and Adam Ankers.

Livin’ it up on the first day of Melges 14 Midwinters! Sarasota brought sunny skies & breeze of 8-14. Harry Melges IV leads with three bullets in three races followed by Harry Melges III, Jeff Solum, Eddie Cox and Adam Ankers.

Zenda University
The Melges Team hosted a Melges 14 racing clinic the day before Melges 14 Midwinters began. The clinic started with a chalk talk and video session, then on the water for practice starts, boat handling drills, and practice races. The clinic wrapped up for the day with a video debrief and a Q&A session with the Melges Team.
