MARINA DI SCARLINO HOSTS THE MELGES 14 WORLD LEAGUE
Marina di Scarlino (Grosseto), 17th June 2019 - The race course of Marina di Scarlino opened its arms to the Melges World League for a Tuscan weekend. For the first time in Europe, the Melges 20 Class was joined by the Melges 14 Class. 8 races were completed.
Congratulations to Alessio Muciaccia, the Melges 14 Scarlino Cup Champion! The podium was rounded out by Mario Aquila and Manfredi Vianini Tolomei. There was great racing to all involved!

It is time to get excited for the next event, in the legendary Riva del Garda! July 6-7! During the same weekend, the Melges 32 World League Event No.3 is taking place, therefore our Melges 14 sailors will share their passion with other 200 melges sailors. Our media team will be onsite to provide full coverage of the event for the advertisement of the class in Europe. This event placed at the beginning of the summer will be for sure a good boost for everyone! It is the best opportunity to fully live the MELGES EXPERIENCE!

MELGES WORLD LEAGUE
The Melges 14 World League debuted this year with great success in the United States where the Melges 14 has become, in a very short time, another best seller of the shipyard based in Zenda, Wisconsin.
After the United States, it is now time for the Melges 14 to arrive in Europe where the Melges World League, which already involves the Melges 32 and Melges 20 classes, opens its doors to the Melges 14 sailors.
The Melges 14 is a boat dedicated to those who love the more sporting sailing style but do not want to give up the community, quality and performance of Melges Performance Sailboats. All offered to the Melges 14 sailors with the same hospitality format and organization of the renowned Melges World League, the reference point for one-design sailing in the worldwide scenario.
The regatta program included fun social events and highly organized racing from Melges Europe. The event in Marina di Scarlino is supported by the local partners Club Nautico Marina di Scarlino, Marina di Scarlino, Vivaio Principina, Birrificio Forte, la Bottega di Adò. Melges Europe e Melges World League strongly support One Ocean Foundation and Charta Smeralda.
